Rules
Each of these rules applies to ALL [801st] members. Compliance is mandatory. Violations may result in disciplinary action and/or Dismissal.


1. MILITARY CHAIN OF COMMAND

The chain of command is to be respected and followed. Matters of disagreement should be taken up by Private Messaging within the Forums.


2. FORUM AND SERVER PASSWORDS

Forum and server passwords are for member use only. Members shall not share or disclose these passwords to non-members. Members shall not permit non-members, including friends or family, to access the forums or private servers. Members shall follow safe-computing behaviours in order to protect their passwords, such as logging off after accessing the forums via a public computer.


3. CHEATS OR SCRIPTS

A Cheat is defined as any means by which a player may achieve an artificial advantage during game-play. "Aim-bots" and "Wall-hacks" are well known examples of "cheats".

A Script is defined as a means by which a player can alter or increase the rate-of-fire of a weapon above that particular weapon's originally designed rate-of-fire or characteristics.

Members shall not use or experiment with cheats or scripts on 801st Servers.


4. PROFANE/ OBSCENE/ VULGAR/ OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE

Members shall not use language, either typed or voiced, that is profane, obscene, vulgar, racist, sexist, or otherwise in extremely poor taste. Some language, such as "sh*t" or "damnit", will be tolerated within reason. However, frequent use of these types of words is not condoned and will result in disciplinary action or dismissal.


5. VOICE/ CHAT COMMUNICATION

In-game voice, Team Speak and chat channels are available for use. However, spamming these channels, mocking other players' voices, teasing, harassment, or otherwise interfering with the ability of players to communicate effectively is prohibited.

However, members may use all-chat to compliment players of the opposing team for a nice kill, good game, etc. All-chat and team-chat may also be used to extend a brief greeting to joining players. Our salute is a good example of showing respect and saying hello and good bye.


6. OBJECTIVES

Members are to pursue their team objectives to the best of their ability. Excessive camping, excessive use of melee or secondary weapons, intentional team wounding/killing, etc. are prohibited.


7. ENEMY SPAWN CAMPING

Members shall not position themselves where they have the capability to kill the enemy where, or as, they spawn. Members shall not throw grenades into the immediate enemy spawn area. However, grenades may be thrown into the outer area of the enemy spawn exit. At least one spawn exit must be left open for the enemy to get out. (Note: this rule does not apply to Gun-Game servers.)


8. SPECTATOR MODE

Members shall not use Spectator mode for the purpose of gaining strategic information about the other team, such as locating an enemy sniper or Infiltrator. Spectator mode may be used by members who must go "AFK" briefly, or for Officers and/or NCO's to monitor or speak with other players for the purpose of recruiting, training, observation or investigation. Any other use is prohibited.


9. BUNNY-HOPPING

Bunny-hopping is defined as jumping while under fire for the sole purpose of avoiding being hit by enemy gunfire. Corner-jumping is defined as jumping while rounding a corner for the sole purpose of making yourself a difficult target. These actions are prohibited.
