Recruitment into the 801st carries with it extraordinary benefits. We have one Public Day of Defeat Source US server, one UK Public Day of Defeat Source server along with another two, Day of Defeat Source private servers. More than 55 members of the 801st are grouped into four companies, not only enjoying their reserved slots for our public servers, but also guild-wide fun nights, inter-company matches and scrims, and guild-wide themed DoD series'. (Ever wonder what a several months long Day of Defeat Source version of the classic board game RISK would be like as an Axis or Allies soldier?)

We maintain an active team in the SLDL League. In fact our SLDL team placed second overall in the SLDL league season 14.

Our friendly Recruiting Officers will be glad to answer any questions that you may have both on our forums and on our servers. Look for the [RO] or ask anyone with the [801st] in their name to point you in the right direction. Don't hesitate Register and ENLIST now!

We have set criteria we would like all potential recruits to meet:

• 18 years of age or older (exceptions will be considered)
• Must have a working microphone and use it for voice communication in game.
• Must be willing to install and use Team Speak on a regular basis as it is our main form of voice communication outside of the game server.
• Must have a name suitable for the 801st. Names longer than 13 character, or names containing bad language, political references, or special characters (i.e. &$*!|, etc.) must be changed.
• Must be willing to be active in the forum and on the servers.
• Must be mature and can keep the voice communication/chat clean.
• Must be teamwork oriented.
• Must NOT be in another Day of Defeat: Source clan or guild.

How to become a recruit:

3. As per the instructions in the Recruiter's Office forum, make a post asking to become a recruit.
